Littmann Stethoscope

Dr. David Littmann (1906–1981) was a cardiologist who graduated from Tufts Medical School, worked at the West Roxbury Veterans Hospital, and taught at the Harvard Medical School. He developed a stethoscope with remarkable acoustic performance, and (together with Gustev Machlup) founded Cardiosonics, Inc. 3M acquired Cardiosonics in 1967.
